Firstly, a mention to my sister, Valentine, sharing a name with St Valentine’s is almost as fabulous as sharing a name with HM The Queen. Happy St Valentine’s Day ;*
I planned to open this piece being not so kind to the lovey-doveyness of V’Day. Reciting those words aloud though, it came to me, once upon a time, we have all succumbed, embraced and welcomed the [commercial] charm of valentine’s day. Let’s face it, the day could be spent in many a worse way than eating your co-workers ridiculous delivery of chocolate, for them.
So, for the love-bugs out there, an edit of Mayfair’s hottest offerings for Tuesday 14th February, St Valentine’s Day.

My ideal Valentines? A countryside escape, bubbles and seafood in front of a roaring fire, roll-top bath and the best linens in the world.
If I must stay in the city, no multi-course dinners please, martini’s followed by walking through the streets of London and maybe, the counter at Scott’s/Roka for cocktails and sharing plates.
Staying in? Will do just fine, just don’t forget the bubbles!
Enjoy your Valentine’s Day!
