The foodie future of North Audley Street
The departure of Truc Vert, now leaves 3, possibly 4 (subject to use licenses) vacant food outlets untenanted on North Audley Street.
La Genova, Il Calcio and Starbucks have all departed, making way for a new wave of dining experiences.
For the street that is home to Roka, Mayfair Garden, Prezzo, The Mayfair Chippy and North Audley Cantine, among others, it is an interesting time ahead.
North Audley Street’s position means that it caters for the local residents, business workers and visitors to the area, an international eclectic mix lured by the abundance of al-fresco dining available.
One hopes to attract another bar/restaurant concept, to attract the 6pm rush whilst also providing a sustainable concept for the locals. Le Pain Quotidien can only offer so much.
I think that it would be interesting to see concepts similar to Farmstand and Barrafina.
I really am intrigued to see what arrives.
