Mark Jenkins’ latest solo show, ‘BRD SHT’ opens on Friday 25th May, through 30th June 2018 at Lazinc Gallery, 29 Sackville Street.
American street artist artist has erected one of his sculptures on the façade of the gallery. The figure is a fisherman, fishing for passing art collectors on the Mayfair street outside. The figure is made entirely of sellotape and based on the artist’s own body.
Jenkins’ practice uses the “street as a stage” where his sculptures interact with the surrounding environment including passersby who unknowingly become actors.
‘BRD SHT’ is a continuation of Project84 – a project the artist carried out in collaboration with CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) last month.
