
From Friday 29 June to Sunday 1 July, Mayfair will spring to life for the annual Mayfair Art Weekend, with free art and events taking place across the area to celebrate 250 years of creativity in London’s finest district.
Over 40 galleries, auction and fashion houses in Mayfair and St James’ will open their doors over the weekend to stage an array of exhibitions, tours, panel discussions, and installations.
Highlights from the Weekend’s programme include….
Mayfair Art Weekend will kick off on Friday 29 June with the Gallery HOP! (6-8pm) where there will be late openings and Sipsmith Gin cocktails.
On Sunday 1 July, The Long Artists’ Lunch will be held in Burlington Gardens, Royal Academy of Arts from 12-5pm – hosted by the acclaimed British artist Bob & Roberta Smith.
The Burlington Arcade will be transformed with an installation comprising of 2000 paper flowers by French designer Mathilde Nivet.
Look out for art installations in Bond Street, where the windows of leading fashion brands will be taken over by artist-designed window displays.
If that wasn’t enough, the newly transformed Royal Academy of Arts will hold a free arts festival as part of its 25oth Anniversary celebrations.
