Breakfast at the Metropolitan Hotel

The Metropolitan Hotel on Park Lane, was,  for many years known for its met bar – it was the bar to been seen at & most definitely the bar to cocktail at in central London.

In recent years though, the vibe has grown with our social/lifestyle focused changes & is becoming the top hotel for travellers, business travellers & the profiled looking to remain refreshed & most importantly, to leave revitalised. The COMO hotel seemingly synonymous with serenity.

These changes have seen a refurbishment & the arrival of such technological suites, you have that initial fear of not being able to turn off a particular light or silence the a/c– one of my pet peeves when travelling, thank-fully though, this seems pretty straight-forward.

It is also worth noting the new decor, the soft tones melting into the Hyde Park forestry, just across Park Lane, one is instantly relaxed upon entering both suites and rooms.

Thank-fully, what has not changed is how discreet the hotel it is, many a ‘face’ stay here ,visit the original London Nobu, Nobu Old Park Lane, or use the hotel’s gym; without the glare of paparazzi!

It was such a treat to visit & sample breakfast – a breakfast I was talking about for weeks- you know me!

I was lucky enough to enjoy:

White cappuccino

Zucchini rosti with smoked salmon, lemon scented ricotta cheese, dill & rocket

Pumpkin seed toast- like, the best thing since sliced bread!!

Like I said, this was a breakfast that I didn’t stop talking about for a while; it is always so nice to dine somewhere & leave feeling ready to conquer the world.

Access to the White Room is not strictly for Metropolitan residents, so why not visit after a brisk, chilly Hyde Park walk.

Maybe see you there for Brunch soon?

Thank-you to Metropolitan Hotel for having me, & for breakfast, see you soon!
