TFL and City of Westminster are inviting local residents, businesses, visitors and workers to take part in a consultation regarding the future of Oxford Street (to pedestrianise or not, unofficially)
There are two rounds of consultation – the first, an 8 week consultation, Monday 24th April until Sunday 18th June and the second later this year, Autumn 2017.
Have your say by clicking the link here and completing a short survey.I would like to say that this is a short survey, however, the extent of material provided and what is to be affected is not a quick thing to comment on. Alternatively, attend one of the ‘open days:
Grosvenor Chapel, Garden Room, 24 S Audley Street, London, W1K 2PA
Saturday 10 June 2017, 11:00 – 16:00
Monday 12 June 2017, 12:00 – 19:00
Wigmore Hall, Bechstein Room, 36 Wigmore Street, London, W1U 2BP
Saturday 10 June 2017, 11:00 – 16:00
Friday 16 June 2017, 10:00 – 16:00
Regent Hall, Salvation Army, Church and Community Centre, 275 Oxford Street, London, W1C 2DJ
Main Hall, Saturday 10 June 2017, 11:00 – 16:00
Oxford Street room, Wednesday 14 June 2017, 12:00 – 19:00
What do the Mayfairer’s think? The big question we all have is where the current oxford street traffic will be redirected to?
The pedestrianisation will affect pollution/congestion in the surrounding areas, impact on parking, quality of life and of course affect the taxi/private hire trade.
