
One of London’s most-loved members clubs is set to open a site in New York. Chronicle Live reported that Reuben Brothers has acquired 16 East 16th Street, Union Square, New York, in conjunction with GSSG Holding and Amanda Staveley, PCP Capital Partners, who have taken a long leasehold interest in the building.
Apparently, the plan is to create a 65,000 sq ft members club and hotel, most likely under Robin Birley’s 5 Hertford Street brand. According to a report in The Times, it will cost $120m to fit out the New York building. With London-inspired private members clubs becoming increasingly popular across the world, we’ll be eagerly watching this new development…
