The best: West End Terraces

Friday, June 8, 2018

It’s summer! And that means that the West End is brimming with thirsty Londoners all jostling for that small square of sunshine. If you don’t fancy standing on the pavement outside a pub for your alfresco drink, then fear not because we’ve rounded up some of the West End’s best summer terraces…

The Plymouth Gin Botanical Garden at The Wigmore – Enjoy refreshing summer cocktails surrounding by beautiful plants on Regent Street.

Aqua Kyoto – Gaze out over London’s rooftops as you enjoy a cocktail on this idyllic roof terrace terrace. This summer Aqua Kyoto are partnering with Tanqueray gin and the terrace is decked out with floral decorations – the perfect place to spend a weekend sunny afternoon.

Boulestin – Dine outdoors in the hidden courtyard terrace at Boulestin, which is tucked away from the bustle of St James’ and lit by Victorian gas lamps.

45 Jermyn St – Grab a table outside and watch the world go by…

Ham Yard Hotel – The quiet courtyard is a lovely space for an alfresco cocktail. On the hotel’s fourth floor, there is a beautiful, leafy rooftop garden with views over London. Unfortunately the garden is only available to hotel guests but you can also hire it out for private events… summer party anyone?

Aquavit – Dine outside at Aquavit’s summer terrace and don’t miss their annual Midsummer celebration on 22nd June.

John Lewis Oxford Street Roof Garden – One of London’s largest roof gardens, John Lewis Oxford Street is holding a Summer of Sound on the Roof with music, food, and drink. They’ll be serving up Butchies buttermilk fried chicken and gin & tonics at the Fever Tree bar all summer long.

alto by San Carlo at Selfridges – Head up to the Selfridges rooftop for alfresco dining in a beautiful Italian garden setting.
