Elephants have popped up around Mayfair… This brightly adorned specimen was spotted in North Mayfair’s Brown Hart Gardens.
You may have seen the colourful creations as you wander across Mayfair and Chelsea. But what’s it all about? The aim is to raise awareness of and support for the elephant through exhibiting thirty 5-foot elephants, all of which have been sculpted and decorated by some of India’s finest artists. This year’s Elephant Parade is on display until 18 July.
The elephants are actually looking for new homes and potential ‘adopters’ can bid for their favourite online. A novel garden ornament, perhaps?
